Norah Fletchall is a Zoo management professional with more than thirty years’ experience working in zoos.  She began her career as a Zookeeper and moved up over the next decades into roles leading staff and initiatives in all aspects of zoo management from finance to conservation, exhibit design, education, daily operations and strategic planning.  Most recently before becoming President/CEO of the Buffalo Zoo in May of 2017 she served as Chief Operating Officer at the Indianapolis Zoo.  She currently serves as the Vice-Chair of the Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA) Ethics Board, is a member of AZA’s Professional Development Committee and frequently serves as a site visit inspector for the AZA accreditation process.   Passionate about connecting people to wildlife and wild places she is eager to help the next generation of zoo leaders and conservation advocates grow and develop.  She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Animal Sciences and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration.
